Biography

Hakan Delic was a visiting professor in the CAS group. He is a professor at Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey.

Hakan Deli? received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, in 1992. He was a Research Associate with the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center from 1992 to 1994. In September 1994, he joined the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he was on the faculty of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering until February 1996. He was a Visiting Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, in 2001-2002, and a Visiting Professor in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science, Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands in 2008-2009. He is currently a Professor at Bogazi?i University, where he has worked since July 1995. His broad research interest lies in wireless communications on which he has published over 45 journal papers and book chapters, as well as over 80 refereed conference papers. At present, his research focuses on wireless multiple access, application of signal processing techniques to wireless networking, ultra-wideband communications, iterative decoding, robust systems, and sensor networks. Dr. Deli? has served at various capacities in numerous conferences including the Executive Committee of IEEE ICC 2006, and he was the TPC Vice-Chair of IEEE PIMRC 2010 in Istanbul. He frequently serves as a consultant to the telecommunications industry. Dr. Deli? is a Senior Member of the IEEE.
